Halibut Steak ($16/ lb)
Our frozen Halibut Steaks are caught from hook and line off the coast of Codroy, Newfoundland. They are provided to us by Codroy Seafood in 8-12 ounces or 12-20 ounces.
Great when grilled, baked or pan-seared. This lean fish has a mild, sweet tasting white flesh. It’s thicker and firmer than cod. Because the flavor is so gentle, halibut pairs well with bolder seasonings like pesto, lemon juice and basil. Halibut meat contains nutrients that keep the heart healthy, such as selenium, magnesium, niacin, and omega-three fatty acids. It is also high in protein.
